So, without further ado, let’s take a look:-
The Atkins Diet
The Atkins diet is not new, in fact, it has been around since 1972. However, this review revisits the modern-day Atkins diet. So, the Atkins diet is the grandmother of all the low carbohydrate, high protein diets. Indeed, the recommended net carb intake per day is very low, at just 12 to 15 grams per day. Rife with controversy and possible health risks, the Atkins diet may be effective for weight loss in the short term.
The Dash Diet
The Dash Diet was not originally designed for weight loss. Indeed, the Dash diet is a healthy eating plan to lower blood pressure through diet. So, there are a few versions of this diet around – all of them healthy. Furthermore, this is one of those healthy diets that does lead to weight loss. So, get stuck into fruit and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, fats, nuts and seeds. Eat your way to health with this one.
The Dukan Diet
The Dukan diet is another low-carbohydrate, high protein diet. This diet has four main phases; the attack phase, cruise phase, consolidation phase and finally, the stabilisation phase. Indeed, this diet does seem to work with around 4 to 7 pounds of weight loss in just 5 to 10 days. So, the average weight loss over the whole diet is around 12 pounds. A few disadvantages and health risks to be aware of, but worth a look.
Gluten Free Diet
The Gluten Free diet has become enormously popular – even for people who do not have celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Many people are switching to gluten-free eating for both health reasons and weight loss. Does gluten-free diet help with Autism? Is a gluten-free diet healthier for all people? Find out ALL the research behind the gluten-free trend.
The Mediterranean Diet
The Mediterranean diet has actually won the approval of Dr Halls as a healthy weight loss plan. As the name suggests the Mediterranean Diet stems from the traditional eating patterns of countries bordering the Mediterranean sea. Indeed, recent research shows that this diet is right up there as one of the healthiest eating plans around.
The Raw Vegan Diet: A Balanced Review
Here we take a look at the raw vegan diet. What is the thinking behind the raw food trend? Moose and Doc take a balanced approach and examine all the medical research behind the raw vegan diet. From enzymes and detox to example meal plans. What are the benefits and risks for those who choose to cut out the cooking and get raw?
16 8 Fasting Plan
The VERY latest news in weight loss. Forget the calorie counting or cutting out whole food groups such as low or no-carb diets.
Simply change the times that you eat. Yes, it really is that simple. Munch your way from 10:00 until 18:00 every day.
Proven weight loss and health benefits – come and check this one out!
The Sonoma Diet
The Sonoma Diet promises a trimmer waist and better health in only 10 days. Similar to the Mediterranean diet the Sonoma diet is a plant-based eating plan. Like other diets, the Sonoma has three phases or ‘Waves’. The Sonoma diet is effective for weight loss with a medium amount of effort necessary.
The Paleo Diet
The Paleo diet or Paleolithic Diet is full of stone-age shenanigans. The idea behind this lifelong eating plan is to eat as close to our hunter-gatherer ancestors as possible. The Paleo eating plan is, however, another high protein, low-carb diet. The Paleo diet does seem to aid weight loss. But do you have to eat squirrel?
The Pegan Diet
This eating plan is a cross between the Paleo and Vegan diet with a few major adaptations. For example, you can eat meat, fish and eggs in moderation and with strict criteria (so not really vegan)
The creator claims great health benefits when you adopt this eating plan. The Pegan diet is listed in this index because if you stick to it you will almost certainly lose weight. We take a research-based look at the benefits and issues.
The Alkaline Diet
The Alkaline Diet is the one those celebs just love. As diets go, the alkaline one is not bad. This diet is based on the theory of changing the body’s PH to an alkaline state. This happens by eating non-acidic, mainly alkaline foods. However, Dr Halls REALLY debunks the alkaline diet with the research! Does it lead to weight loss? Find out more …
The HCG Diet
The HCG diet is not one on Dr Hall’s list of approved diets. A true fad diet that involves hormones and hunger. Indeed, the HCG diet is a very low-calorie (500 per day) eating plan for quite long periods at a time. Furthermore, scientific research does not endorse this diet. Have a look by all means, but try and avoid buying and taking any weight loss products.
The Military Diet Plan
The Military diet is another fad diet that does not meet Dr Hall’s seal of approval. This diet claims that you can lose 10 pounds in a week whilst still munching away on hot dogs and ice cream. Indeed, this is a low-calorie diet with a fast and feast type of mentality. So, military madness is a rigid diet based upon a combination of certain foods said to boost weight loss.
The 3 Day Diet Plan
This 3 Day Diet Plan is a bit of a random one. Brief information on how to do the 3-day diet. Said to lead to weight loss but we’re not so sure! In addition, there is also some information on healthy detox smoothies. Although we believe in adopting more healthy eating plans for long term weight loss this will not do any harm … probably!
The 4 Day Diet
The 4-day diet is a healthy and nutritious little diet. As diets go, this one has every meal planned out for you. For example, lunch on day one is a chicken or beef sandwich with lettuce, mushrooms, mozzarella, mustard and potato wedges. This 4-day diet is very healthy and perfect for those who like to be ‘spoon-fed’ what to eat. It can be repeated as often as necessary. Just don’t forget to throw in some exercise and drink plenty of water. Sounds good? Read on …

An anti-ageing Diet: Tips to Look and Feel Younger
Which foods should you be eating and which foods should you avoid on an anti-ageing diet? There is some great information on antioxidants too. Whether foods can turn back the hands of time or not, adding these healthy foods to your diet will certainly do NO harm. Discover a few ‘super’ foods that will give your old body a bit of a boost.
The Cayenne Pepper Diet
This diet is known as ‘the master cleanse’ or the ‘lemonade diet’. Indeed, it is more of a ‘detox’ cleanse than a diet. However, taking liquids only (with Cayenne Pepper, or not) is NOT going to lead to long-term weight loss. Eating so few calories and inadequate nutrition for 10 days is NOT a healthy path to weight loss. However, for those crazy enough to give it a go, here is the whole plan including how to introduce normal eating again.
