Many people around the world put on half of our annual weight gain between Thanksgiving and New Years. Researchers show that people don’t lose the pounds when the partying ends. If that happens year after year, back to back, well… You can do the math. You’re going to probably have some problems.

Fitness fanatics even are discouraged by weight loss tips during the winter weather. Researchers show that missing even one or two hours of sleep may make your more likely to give in to unhealthy foods, especially junk foods, the next day. So why is that? The prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for self control, is compromised by the loss of sleep.
“I tried losing weight by counting calories. I lost count at 5000.”
Eating more veggies, and fruit as well, is a very simple way to cut calories. You get a lot of food for not that many calories, plus a healthy dose of fiber that makes you feel stuffed, too. Sneaking in veggies into your favorite meals and dishes might help also.
