Know the amount you should be consuming

November 12, 2015 By Dr. Halls

Dr. Halls
“The answer is, it all depends”

The total number of calories you should consider consuming per day, depends on various circumstances. This involves your height, sex, size, age, lifestyle, and overall health. It has been detected that even factors, such as how you eat your food, can effect on how many calories get into your body. The extended amount of time that you chew your food, the higher amount of calories the body absorbs. To figure out how many calories you should consume per day, I recommend checking out a calorie calculator, off Google, or something.

“Fast facts on calorie intake”

Here are some key points about how many calories a day…
-Recommended calorie intake depends on your age, sex, height, size, lifestyle and overall health.
-The longer you chew your food, the more calories your body retains.
-A big breakfast helps bring your weight down, or keep it down.
–When we eat, our food probably matters as much as what and how many calories we eat.
-In industrialized nations and a growing number of emerging economies, people are consuming many more calories than they used to. Portion sizes are far greater today.

-For the human body to remain alive, it requires energy. Approx 20% of the energy we use is for brain metabolism.
-Ideal body weight depends on several factors including age, sex, bone density, height, and muscle-fat radio.
–Not all calories are the same, not all diets are the same. Simply counting calories and ignoring what you put in your mouth might not lead to good health.
-A 500 calorie meal like fish/meat, salad, and some olive oil, followed by fruit, is much better for your health and will keep you from being hungry for longer than a 500 calorie snack like popcorn with butter.

All the time…

Jessica Jessica

“Difference between calories and kilocalories”

A single kilocalorie is 1000 calories, reliably speaking. Still, the term calorie has become so roughly used with the exact definition as kilocalorie, that the two conclusions have essentially combined. That is to say, in most cases, a calorie and kilocalorie have the identical context.

“Not all calories nor diets are the same”

Clearly, analyzing the calories and neglecting what you put in your mouth may not lead to very good health what-so-ever. Insulin levels will rise considerably more after absorbing carbs than after eating fats or proteins. A few carbs get into the bloodstream in the corm of sugar a lot quicker than others. Refined flour is a quick carb, while coarse oatmeal is really slow. Slow-release carbs are way more excellent for your weight control and overall health than it is from fast carbs.
