This is an article about anorexia BMI measurements. In addition to its main content about anorexia, it also included tables of data of German BMI measurements at various ages. The 10th percentile data from the German National Nutrition Survey (1985 to 1989) is shown in the chart below.
My point for showing this chart, is to illustrate that skinny people at the 10th percentile, show a gradual increase in their body mass index during their adult lives. Is it natural for Body Mass Index to gradually increase? I think so.
I believe there are some better articles than this one, on the topic of BMI values in anorexia nervosa, so I’m hoping to add links to them, from here, when I re-discover them in my collection.
