Teapot handles (more here https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/teapot/ ) and now the same thing on horizontal animals image C,D and E. (more here https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/side-loop-animal/ )

Diagram B has a yellow vertical connection of flow from the lower torus to the upper torus (like image A). The purple line is flow going out the side of one torus and entering the side of another torus ( a side loop). They can be bidirectional and difficult to figure out the direction-of-energy flow. Diagram F is the same concept but rotated horizontally.

Teapot handles reappear on horizontal animals, with vertical connections linking lower and upper tori and side loops entering sideways, sometimes bidi

I encourage you to click the link about 'side loop animal' above.

Some of these animals have circle or spiral symbols on the thighs of their hindlegs or forelegs, and I used to think those were simply inflow and outflow vortices, aka, portals for flow to enter the body of the animal torus symbol. Example here: https://ca.pinterest.com/pin/420453315230355890/ BUT, the ability to also have side flows is interesting.

I did not imagine that the caudal end of an animal or bird was an independent torus, but apparently it is, or could be, according to these ancient symbolic diagrams.

So many related things will come out of this. Whenever I see someone straddling an animal ( Mithras, Sampson ), I'll wonder if they are representing a side flow loop. Even 'biting animals' https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/biting-animals/ will need a closer look in the future.

This side loop of high-density flow, often bidirectional, seems pretty important to ancient people.

I have a text summary of the "Torus Framework" here https://www.facebook.com/steven.b.halls/posts/10159054427642257 which hopefully helps people get reoriented to thinking about symbolism as Torus-related and not Deity-related, not Myth/story-related. I'm going to have to add a bit more about side loop flows pretty soon.
