Braids, Wavy Hair and Snakes as Side Flow Symbols
Wheat or Snakes with your hairdo? My topic is about the side flow loops shown in image A, where those handles connect to the sides of a lower torus and an upper torus.
I'm asserting that when the symbolism involves a body and a head, certain hairstyles have a hidden meaning about side flow from a body-torus to a head-torus, or visa versa.
The topics of braids (upward flow, image F,G) and wavy hair (downward flow, image D,H,J) have been covered in some previous posts (but not very recent). Image G has huge braids, clearly not just a hairstyle.
Hair spiral tubes (image B,C, I, L) or curls, what is their flow direction? Keep in mind that side flows can be inward into the head, or outward from the side of the head. We need clues to answer the question of the flow direction.
Images H and J have snakes and wavy hair. The snakes intermixed with the wavy hair makes it clear that waves are a downward outflow. Snakeheads are an outflow symbol.
Regarding spiral tubes (curls), I never saw any snakes with those, and then I saw wheat on image L, which is an upward flow (and wheat kernels resemble braids).
So my conclusion is that hair spiral tubes are an upward flow from the body-torus side, into the head-torus side.
Image K is special. A side loop made of flowers and fruit, that would be a high-density attribute, and wavy hair is nearby, I think that's probably a downward outflow from the head-torus.
When you see various named diety statues and notice their hair, it becomes harder to believe their myth stories.
