Sorrow or shame in image A? No, that's literal thinking and not how symbolism works.

Image A and related figures whose sorrow or shame pose is a literal misreading; in symbolism the figure carries an energy-flow meaning instead.
Second image illustrating the same symbolism reading.

Have a look at this collection of images similar to A and B, https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/cover-face/ and notice that there is no attempt make proper-looking hands. Instead, the fingers are making a "comb"-like symbol of "little lines", marking the entire head a etheric/higher-density.

The comb is a little-lines symbol, often with thick and thin components, giving it either a bidirectional meaning, or, a change of density by crossing through a barrier. I'm not sure yet.

The mirror is a ring portal symbol. The flow direction is often ambiguous. https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/ring-portal/

Image F has the mirror opposite of an up-sword, making the mirror potentially be the downward flow side.

Image G's mirror has rays resembling a Sol portal.

Image H's mirror has outer little snakes, akin to a Sol portal.

Image I's mirror has an upward flow snake, aka, to a Sol type portal.

Image J has a mirror and a hand (with fingers). No Comb. It's an example where fingers can interchange for a comb.

Image K's comb is apparently related to flows above the head-torus, bidirectional and/or changing attributes.

Image L's comb is one of the side flow portals, and probably the bidirectional side, making the mirror be the upward Sol type.

Image D replaced the entire head with that little-lines symbol, and I'm correlating that with image A.
