Arms Symbolism: Horizontal Plane Flows and Torus Polarities
Arms. Image A is a torus symbol, with North upward outflow. It has a zodiac ring at the equatorial zone, which I call "the horizontal plane". (Ie, the South-to-North flow is vertical, and etheric flows go in- and out- horizontally, but too bad this water fountain isn't shooting water out of the sides of the globe.)
Image B is someone's diagram with many things correct. I like it because it shows the zodiac is rotating. I truly think ancient people knew the sky was rotating, and use that concept analogy for anything in a torus that is rotating, ie, the horizontal flows rotate.
Image C has correctly placed arms at the horizontal plane, because arms are used in symbolism to show flows and connections in- and out- of the horizontal plane. Remember, other artists made these, they understood and we are catching up.
Image D has opposite polarity, Ears-up Anubis and opposite is horns and nose down Bull. Their crossing arms is in this common worldwide pattern: https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/intertwined/
Image F also has an Ears-up-stick and a Loop-back (folded cloth) as the opposite polarities. https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/loop-back/
Below that on image F is called a "mouth", (an open mouth), it's a portal symbol. Lots of mouths are portals in symbolism: https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/croc-mouth/ https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/mouth-center-outflow/
Image E has a horizontal arm holding an Up cone. This arm is the horizontal plane, which can sometimes be a barrier. The bottom barrier is zigzaggy alternating triangles pattern, and the top barrier is the bar-with-stars, from my previous post. https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/triangles-alternating/
Image G is holding a Down curl-top-feather, and the bull nose and it's foreleg are also down. The Ox tail is also down. G is a both sides Down layout.
Image H also uses horizontal arms to mark the horizontal plane, and the flows from those arms go up, or down ( and not shown, in- or out-).
Image I is another opposite polarities, Ears-up-stick and curl-feather and ankh marking down.
My "Up and Down" collection should be well known to regular followers, but if you are new, please notice the worldwide use of this pattern: https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/up-and-down/
