Curly fingers, sometimes it means a downward side flow ( sometimes bidirectional), sometimes inflow toward the core. But a lot of times it's unreliable. But a lot of times it's unreliable.

Image A has a classic pattern of up and down regarding side flows, (and the person in the middle is the central flow path).

Image B is showing the central flow path has both polarities going through the core.

Image C has upward flow with straight fingers, going over the top of the head ( a side to other side loop back ), and then down.

The mace is upward, but the spiral around it is the downward part, so it's bidirectional below letter C.

Image D is another example of two polarities being together.

Image E has the curly fingers on the same side as the downward eyebrows (which was surprisingly a downward flow symbol from my post about theatre masks).

Image F has arrows on the 4th and 5th fingers, so that's nice.

Two fingers straight is a classic outflow direction symbol.

Image G has the two fingers (and a sword) showing outflow, while the lilies and the curly fingers are on the inflow side.

Image H has the two people being side flow symbols, showing their polarity with hand poses.

Image I has a downward scribe pen, and curly fingers.
