Fiery edges of portals in image A. The bent leg is upward flow toward the body core, the straight leg is downward flow, usually. The ring portals give no clue about flow direction at the feet, but the handheld ring portal seems to show outward flow. The waist also has outward horizontal flows, apparently. The waist is the horizontal plane of the body-torus symbol. Image B's lily pad portals have those little people to provide clues about flow directions, but I can't figure them out. But "bent and straight leg" is pretty reliable. The downward flow can be bidirectional, so we have some wiggle room. In India statues, feet step on all sorts of things (as flow attribute clues)
