Columns as Flux Tubes and Their Surface Markings
Columns often indicate a flow, but usually no hint about direction. They can be up, down, or both. Lately I've been posting about flux tubes, and sometimes the capital looks like the spilling and curling texture, seen on recent posts like yesterday: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CuN3ZXFQi/ Capitals also often have a barrier penetration aspect, but not always. https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/column-top/ This post today is about the markings on the columns.
Image B is the best prototype of my understanding of how tubes are constructed from helical assemblies made of even smaller tori. Image A has alternating symbols on the surface, which I think is "diagramatic", as if you were zooming into look at individual tori on the tube surface, and seeing that some show an 'outflow' and some show an "inflow' orientation to the interior of the tube, and I think these tubes need a way to balance pressure to their surroundings, so they need both in- and out-s. Image C correlates with posts where I equate the fishskin texture and reptile/snake skin texture to a flux tube texture, https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CwTaFtm1G/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17Uv29F3Lv/ Image F correlates to my post that had a bannister and a snake, where I thought those were representing downward flow flux tubes. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Kj3FC3Nu2/
Images like D, can be found many places, not only ancient, but also modern, such as at a masonic temple in Philadelphia. https://ca.pinterest.com/pin/11751649006259192/ I think these are places where a teacher could discuss various aspects, and show us to recognize the diversity of variations. Image E seems more like the serpiginous flow pattern inside the walls of a flux tube, which contains smaller flux tubes, and I think these are cut-away views to show the dots inside those tube, those dots representing either little tori, or little vortices where flow curls up and makes it's own exit portals. https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/flux-tube/ https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/serpentine/ https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/dots/ There are a lot of places dots are used in symbolism, and I've grown comfortable with them showing us flow paths of energy, and they also show inflation and deflation of their sizes, which gives us extra information too. https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/dots-size/ My collection of "connection tubes" has grown quite large, and it has a lot of that diversity of surface patterns, but I think it's all the same message, that nature physics forms tubes that do stuff and carry energy flow. https://ca.pinterest.com/stevenbhalls/connection-tube/
Holding all these tubes together, if they are made of little tori, the cross-linking and tension that is needed, those are posts I'm quite happy about making this year. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DsWNdgVyp/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DFmMsGaLq/ And while I've made progress, I'm seeing it happen too in surreal art, and in physics discoveries that are finally being made public (as if they happened recently, but probably known for a few decades inside the secrecy apparatus of states).
