Energy Flow Using Pouring Analogies
Energy flows using pouring analogies, but including horizontal and diagonal directions, so it's not literal water. There are many portal symbols, a Sol, a gap in clouds, container brims, angels (yes, angels are portal symbols), a brim of a well, an animal open mouth.
Crowns are also portal symbols but these crowns don't show flow.
Holding a glove is a symbol, its meaning is uncertain, but I think it relates to cloth being a flux tube outer barrier, arms and sleeves being those barriers, the bare hand being flux spilling out, and perhaps the empty glove means the barrier material is amongst the outflowing spilling stuff. Or, that glove might be yet another portal symbol, it seems to be handgripped like a scroll portal symbol. Another strange thing is the towers with cone roofs. Usually those apocalypse scenes also have fire. Cone/up-triangle roofs mean upward flow, but I don't understand why some towers are broken. A guess is that broken columns are probably a downward flow symbol, so perhaps that whole town is a portal with both upward and downward flow visual labels.
The ocean surface and a ship are symbols, establishing a horizontal plane between dimensions. This is like "where's Waldo" but looking for symbols and trying to work out what they mean.
