The Hathor Head as a Portal Symbol
Hathor often has omega shaped hair, which provides an "open door" symbol for inflow at the bottom. This applies to all omegas being inflow symbols. Hathor also has an upward outflow portal above the hair, and quite often there is a barrier symbol above the hair made of multiple short little lines that are vertically oriented. That is the barrier symbol to the next higher dimension.
Hathor is a capital, which is a portal at the top of a column, and a column is an upward flow flux tube symbol. Above all columns with a capital, there is a barrier. It may seem like an unimportant horizontal support structure, but quite often those have the typical alternating polarity markings of a barrier symbol.
On a Hathor head, above its little lines crown, there can be a further portal symbol for inflow entering the next higher dimension. It might look like a vertical Ureus snake, it might look like a red rectangular door in a temple or altar wall. Those doors are equivalent to the bottom gap between Hathor omega hair.
Hathor heads also appear on sistrums, and some sistrums have the same door above a Hathor head. Sometimes those sistrums have horizontal wires with circular metal disks on them. I cannot yet explain why those have equivalent meaning to that architecture above a Hathor head, but they clearly refer to some aspect of a higher dimension. Otherwise you are left with the sistrum being the worst musical instrument ever invented.
Hathor ears mark the horizontal plane of her head, and horizontal planes of torus portal symbols are quite often where a barrier and portal can be placed in symbolism. This is why the forehead is so minimal on Hathors. Ears are also portal symbols for inflow and outflow along the horizontal plane. They have nothing to do with cows.
A Hathor with some horns above is changing the labeling to a downward flow direction into the Hathor portal, so Hathors depend on attribute labeling to fully know their flow directions, but upward outflow is much more common than downward flow.
Hathor heads can appear at the end of arms, because arms are flux tubes and wrists can be the outflow portal location of arms. Sometimes Hathors can appear on hands, similar to stigmata and many other kinds of portal symbols, labeling the hands as portal symbols. Hands with Hathors are not shown on this post but image F has hands at the bottom and a Hathor at the top-center portal location.
